‘Park Avenue Cubists’ made their home here
Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio offering virtual tours and more
American abstract artists George L.K. Morris and Suzy Frelinghuysen created a home and studio in the Berkshires that reflected their aesthetic and artistic tastes. There the couple lived, worked and amassed an art collection of abstract and modern art.
Open to the public since 1998, the Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio annually welcomes visitors to tour the house and studio and see parts of the collection, as well as participate in art demonstrations, workshops and lectures.
Although tours are canceled for 2020, and a solo exhibition of Frelinghuysen’s work has been postponed until 2021, the historic artists’ house and studio is offering virtual house tour vignettes and other digital offerings on its website this summer.
