Submitted by Cathedral of the Pines foundation.
A 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1945 with the passing of Sanderson Sloane, a WWII B17 Bomber pilot. With the loss of their son “Sandy”, founders Douglas and Sybil Sloane dedicated the mission to promoting the legacy and well-being of veterans and their families through services, workshops, and events where all are honored and valued. The grounds inspire peace, solace, and natural beauty with respect to the sustainability of our natural environment.

Our scenic views are the perfect setting for celebrations and memorial services as we honor all American men and women who have served. Cathedral of the Pines is situated on a hilltop with a panoramic, breathtaking view of Grand Monadnock Mountain. We offer three outside open-air, non-denominational sanctuaries for peaceful reflection and tranquility to all who visit.

During your visit we hope you enjoy the following:
- Beautifully maintained flower gardens with varieties that continue to bloom all summer
- Memorial & Spiritual Services as well as Community & Family Celebrations at the Altar of Nations leaves an unforgettable memory for young and old alike.
- Unique programs and events with historic, military, conservation and spiritual interests
- Hiking trails that loop across almost 300 acres of diverse ecosystems
- Our National Women’s Memorial Bell Tower stands above the campus at 55 ft. and the Carillon of bells will play out bell songs every 15 minutes across the valley.
- Our WWII Museum allows guests of all ages to travel back in time
- Our grounds are pet friendly on leash only, please.
